Doris E. Sabin photograph and print collection, ca. 1950-1980.

Two hundred twenty-four black and white and color photographs, most taken by Sabin, depicting 88 covered bridges in 13 Vermont counties. Part of the collection includes 10 bridge photographs from other states, and 23 unidentified bridges, most taken in the 1960s-1980s with some earlier professional photographs included. The condition of the photographs is fair to good with fading in the earlier black and white prints and both fading and color alteration in the early Kodacolor prints. A small number of photographs were professionally taken for publication.
